URN ATELIER

A quiet art of remembrance.

We make handcrafted cremation urns in Chinese lacquer — works of memorial art shaped by material, motif and patient handwork, and presented with the restraint of an atelier.

The collections

Four collections, one atelier.

Each series gathers works around a material temperament — from gilded ceremonial surfaces to near-black lacquer grounds.

Selected works

From the atelier, a first look.

What the hand lays down in lacquer, time keeps.

Craftsmanship

Chinese lacquer, built layer upon layer.

Natural lacquer is applied, cured and polished in turn, and gold is laid by leaf and by line. The surface carries the evidence of that process — depth, restraint and a sheen that comes only from the hand.

The craft behind the work

Bespoke

Commissioned for one story.

Some works begin with a person — a name, a story, a wish to keep something close. We shape bespoke memorial pieces around that intention.

The atelier

Memorial art, kept close.

Our works are made to be lived with — in daylight, among everyday things — rather than hidden away. Each carries the legacy of a craft passed down by hand, and the quiet presence of the person it remembers.
